Facial Cleansers by Condition and Skin Type

Cleansers by Condition and Skin Type

Normal Skin

Although your skin is not particularly vulnerable, we recommend the use of mild cleansers. Regular washing once a day should keep your skin clean and clear.

Dry Skin

Dry Skin is very common. Avoid drying bar soaps, and try to use mild or liquid cleansers to wash your skin. Moisturize your skin immediately following a cleanse to protect your skin from drying out.

Oily Skin

Powerful cleansers that remove excess oil and dirt are needed. In some cases, acne-cleansers can help to balance your skin's oil level.

Sensitive Skin

Do not over-cleanse as your skin is vulnerable to even slight irritations. Washing once a day should suffice. Use cleansers that are mild and soap free. Avoid products with perfume as they often contain irritating ingredients.

Acne

Use acne-specific cleansers to wash the face or other areas where the acne is affecting you. Be patient, and do not expect immediate improvement, as these medications take time to take effect.

Eczema

Those with eczema suffer from extreme dry skin, and a propensity to have sensitive vulnerable skin. Depending on severity the skin can be damaged and exposed. Use mild or liquid cleansers, and stay away from soap bars which can be harsh on this type of skin.

Rosacea

Rosacea is a common skin condition that causes inflammatory acne and flushing around the central region of the face. It is very important that those with Rosacea avoid skin irritation as much as possible. Similar to those with sensitive skin, reduce the number of times you wash, and use mild cleansers without potentially irritating fragrances.
